An American-style Lager

Introduced in 1876 when company founder Adolphus Busch set out to create the United States’ first truly national beer brand – brewed to be universally popular and transcend regional tastes. Each batch of Budweiser stays true to the same family recipe used by five generations of Busch family brewmasters. Budweiser is a medium-bodied, flavorful, crisp and pure beer with blended layers of premium American and European hop aromas, brewed for the perfect balance of flavor and refreshment. Budweiser is made using time-honored methods including “kraeusening” for natural carbonation and Beechwood aging, which results in unparalleled balance and character.

Reserve Collection

With the Reserve Collection, Budweiser gives beer drinkers the opportunity to experience and taste history! Through limited-edition, special release lagers, the Reserve Collection gives consumers a unique beverage experience. Released in the Fall of 2017, the reserve debuted the Budweiser 1933 Repeal Reserve Amber Lager with a recipe dating back to the pre-Prohibition era. Next, in Summer 2018, the collection introduced Budweiser Freedom Reserve Red Lager.

The new beer was specially brewed by Budweiser’s own veterans and builds on the brand’s long-standing support of American veterans with a portion of proceeds sold this summer benefiting Folds of Honor. The latest addition has been the Budweiser Reserve Copper Lager, a collaborative brew with Budweiser and Jim Beam Bourbon. The new beer celebrates the two all-American brands that survived Prohibition and have seen great success in their 365 years of business.

Clydesdales

The Budweiser Clydesdales made their first-ever appearance on April 7, 1933. A gift from August A. Busch, Jr. and Adolphus Busch to their father in celebration of the repeal of Prohibition, the presentation of the original two six-horse hitches of champion Clydesdales moved father, sons and drivers to tears. They heralded a new era of prosperity for Anheuser-Busch, and a weary nation’s return to optimism. From their first appearance in 1933, to their enduring presence on the American landscape, the Clydesdales are more than a symbol of Budweiser beer; they are the living embodiment of America’s great industrial spirit.
